IT Concepts participated in Fairfax County’s Volunteer Partner Services 2019-2020 Backpack and School Supplies drive. We partnered with the County and sponsored two students for their first day of school. After receiving details about their age, favorite colors, and their school supplies list, ITC employees signed up to collect their school supplies. Supplies were collected over a two week period and everyone in the office helped out.
Vice President of Finance and Contracts, Tracie Cook, led the initiative and assembled backpacks that held all of the children’s necessary school supplies. They were then given to the VPS office in Fairfax County, and distributed out to our 2 students in need. Thanks to Tracie and IT Concepts, those students were able to start their first day of school prepared and ready to learn.
ITC is proud to support our local schools and participate in initiatives that help our community. Tracie Cook comments,
“This program allows us to directly give back to the kids in our area which I find personally rewarding now that my own children are young adults. It really meant a lot to me and speaks to our core value of teamwork that I was able to pass along an initiative for the company to consider, and the company immediately got on board. It not only supports the greater community but really fosters that ITC family culture of the company.”
