The Social Security Administration’s (SSA) Quick Disability Determination (QDD) process takes several days to run on an unwieldly desktop solution. Those suffering with medical conditions so serious who clearly met the Agency’s disability standards were waiting several days before receiving an outcome.
ITC developed an algorithm within 6 months by creating two models that merged data from multiple sources into a single solution. We developed and created SAS analytic files, generated statistical output, formulated program approaches, wrote, tested, implemented, refined code, and performed QC/QA including bench-marking.
In less than 6 months, ITC developed the Quick Allowance Research Tool (QuART) QuART expeditiously identify optimal thresholds for the Quick Disability Determinations (QDD) process, to maximize allowance and quick precision, and to balance QDD workloads.
• Enabled accurate allowance decisions in minutes vs several days across multiple desktops, providing payments to citizens without the time to await lengthy decision timeframes.
